Our Best Anti-Lice Tips

It is our pleasure providing a valuable service to the Victoria Community. As a small token of appreciation, I'd like to share my own, personal, all time favorite tips for keeping lice at bay. Some are well known, & others not so much but all are great for preventing lice infestations in your family.

Never share combs & brushes with Friends

Skip selfies with friends.

(Avoid getting lice by avoiding head to head contact)

Pony Up, Buns or Braid Hair

(Containing hair makes it harder for lice to take hold)

B.Y.O.P (Bring Your Own Pillow)

When you stay at someones house take your own pillow. Lice can't live long on inanimate objects but it's better to not take chances

Hair Products
(Mint detangler spray, gel ect.)
Helps deter lice from wanting to be in your childs hair.

Once a week, take a peek!

Catch a lice infestation early by checking your childs hair once a week.

Use heat

Wash any items used or worn by the person in hot water, and dry them on high heat. Lice & nits die when exposed to temperatures higher than 130 F for more than 5 minutes.

Seek professional help.

Home remedies for head lice are messy, time consuming and not always effective.
